Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

★★★★★

RECIPE HERE

When I originally started this blog I said I would be reviewing recipes and then, well, it just never happened. I have been trying to get back into cooking and with all the moving around it’s been hard. I currently am without my Kitchenaid which I am use to using for most of my recipes, I had to buy a few new pans as well as I bought a new hand blender that just came in today, yay!

Skill Level

EASY

In my opinion this recipe is easy to make. There are few ingredients and the steps are rather simple. I chose not to use roast beef and instead used teriyaki beef, because of this I had to cook the meat separately first before cooking it a bit longer with the sauteed onions and mushrooms. Other than that the hardest part is cutting up the Onion.

Cook Time

MEDIUM

This recipe requires you to saute the mushrooms and onions for 25-30 minutes + cook the meat in for another 10 minutes + another 10-15 minutes in the over. While it’s not very long, it’s not something you are going to make last minute. Overall it took me just over an hour to make the recipe, that include me having to cook my meat separately and also knowing the recipe well enough that there was minimal delays while cooking.

Price of Ingredients

LOW

I originally thought of putting medium but it really depends on the meat you choose to buy. You can find cheap roast beef or other meats that you can substitute in such as sausage. The meat I used cost $9.99 full price (I got it at $4.00 off), and I only used half. Then you have the cost of the bell peppers, garlic if you need, onions and mushrooms. Compared to other low carb recipes it’s not much and because it don’t require any spices you won’t have to worry about buying anything you may not already have.

Taste

GREAT

I love it, I made it for my boyfriend who does not eat low carb and he likes it as well. It’s nice to play with the meats and we loved the teriyaki in it. The bell peppers, honestly, were okay. I can see myself doing a similar recipe without the bell peppers in the future as they did not make or break the dish.

Overall I will more than likely make this recipe again in the future. If you have made this recipe let me know what you think down in the comments below!

Until next time!
