Fiber Gourmet – Thinables
So I bought these because I was really craving cheez-it’s and the ones you make with just baked sliced cheese were not settling that craving!
These are not super low carb, they are 7g per serving and they are made with Wheat products so this is not for everyone.
I purchased mine from Netrition, they cost $4.09 and come in a variety of flavors, I chose Cheddar.
At first taste, I did not like these one bit. They had this strong artificial taste which is strange because they don’t have any artificial flavors or colors. With the second cracker that taste is just gone, you start to get the tastes of the cracker and the cheddar.
Every time I begin to eat these the first cracker just tastes off to me but the more I eat the more they remind me of Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies, which are like an organic goldfish. The taste gets quite addicting and the craving is satisfied.
Overall I enjoy the taste, past the first cracker.
These are $4.09 for one bag, there are 6 servings per bag. I honestly think this is a good price. Compared to other low carb foods I buy this ranks among the cheapest. There are several flavors and it won’t be breaking the bank to try them, I think next time I will order more.
While these are not something I would eat everyday, as I keep my carb intake rather low, they are something I would be willing to recommend. They have an acquired taste so don’t expect an exact cheez-it dupe, but they are crackers and they are cheddar flavored.
These also have less than half the calories of cheez-its, 11g of fiber as compared to none in cheez-it’s and 7g of net carbs as compared to 17g.
